Freight Impacts on Ohio’s Roadways: The study was intended to inform the state’s comprehensive transportation planning activities, and focuses on maintaining and improving freight corridors while supporting economic development and integration with the global economy. The study recommends increasing spending on freight corridors, relieving highway bottlenecks with capacity expansions and congestion management techniques, expanding freight planning and modeling, and increasing cooperation with neighboring states and coalitions.
