AASHTO has released a <a href=\"http:\/\/midamericafreight.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/AASHTO-Summary-and-Analysis-of-EPW-Reauth-Proposal-2014-05-13.pdf\">summary<\/a> of this legislation.<\/p>\n<div title=\"Page 1\">\n<blockquote><p>Overall, the MAP-21 Reauthorization Act provides a total of $265 billion for highway programs over six years and continues the core program structure put in place in MAP-21 including the National Highway Performance Program (NHPP), Surface Transportation Program (STP), Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ). The bill also creates a new National Freight Program that distributes funding to state DOTs via formula.
