Two intermodal terminals are located in Cincinnati, one in Columbus and one in Cleveland. MPH is also referred to as Airline Junction Yard.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rita.dot.gov\/bts\/sites\/rita.dot.gov.bts\/files\/publications\/national_transportation_atlas_database\/2013\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2013 National Transportation Atlas Database<\/a>, the facility is located on the Chicago Line Subdivision. The NS Detroit District Subdivision also accesses this facility. Amtrak has trackage rights over tracks running through the terminal. The terminal is across from the University of Toledo\u2019s South Campus.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 NS completed a $12.4 million expansion to this terminal. The idea for expansion did not come from NS but from Toledo\u2019s Mayor\u2019s office. The <a href=\"file:\/\/localhost\/Evaluating%20the%20Economic%20Impacts%20of%20Expanded%20Truck-Rail%20Intermodal%20Capacity%20in%20Northwest%20Ohio\/%20Airline%20Junction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Evaluating the Economic Impacts of Expanded Truck-Rail Intermodal Capacity in Northwest Ohio: Airline Junction<\/a> study was the impetus for regional freight-related business support. The Joint Intermodal Task Force (JITF) approached NS with the study\u2019s results.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/midamericafreight.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/access-ns-toledo.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4923\" title=\"access-ns-toledo\" src=\"http:\/\/midamericafreight.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/access-ns-toledo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"700\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Intermodal Connectors<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Hill Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Intermodal Lanes<\/h2>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nscorp.com\/content\/nscorp\/en\/ship-with-norfolk-southern\/shipping-options\/intermodal\/terminals-and-schedules\/toledo-ohio.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norfolk Southern<\/a>, the Toledo facility has TOFC\/COFC capabilities and serves the following destinations.<\/p>\n<h3>TOFC\/COFC<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ayer, MA: Ayer (AYR)<\/li>\n<li>Buffalo, NY: Bison Yard (BSN)<\/li>\n<li>Chicago, IL:\u00a0 63<sup>rd<\/sup> Street (N63)<\/li>\n<li>New York Metro, NY: NJIT Croxton (NJT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Lift Counts<\/h2>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maasto.net\/2011presentations\/009.RandyBayles.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NS<\/a>, this facility had 35,365 lifts in 2010.
