The other is a RoadRailer facility in Melvindale, a suburb of Detroit.<br \/>\nAccording to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rita.dot.gov\/bts\/sites\/rita.dot.gov.bts\/files\/publications\/national_transportation_atlas_database\/2013\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2013 National Transportation Atlas Database<\/a>, the facility is located on the Detroit District Line Subdivision.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/documents\/mdot\/MDOT_MI_SRP_public_review_draft_2011-05-23_600dpi_353776_7.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michigan State Rail Plan<\/a>, NS along with other railroads in Detroit; CSX, Canadian National (CN), and Canadian Pacific (CP) will fund improvements to the rail network in order to improve truck flows within the city. This effort, known as the Detroit Intermodal Freight Terminal (DIFT) study, produced an alternative for consolidating the intermodal operations of the CSX, NS, and CP railroads at the Livernois-Junction Yard.
