The others are located in Dallas, TX; Jackson, MS; Laredo, TX; and Kendleton, TX.<\/p>\n<p>This facility is called the International Freight Gateway because of KCS intermodal lanes to Mexico. CTR, a TOFC\/COFC terminal, was built in 2008 replacing the KCS Gardner facility located within Kansas City.<\/p>\n<p>CTR can be considered an emerging logistics center. The facility is located on an abandoned military airport and anchors an industrial park developed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerpoint-prop.com\/projects\/article.aspx?id=169&amp;mode=INFRASTRUCTURE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CenterPoint<\/a>. The intermodal terminal spans 370-acres facility and another 970 acres is devoted to industrial park uses.<br \/>\nIn May 2013, CSX began operating intermodal services to the local Kansas City market at CTR. The destinations CSX serves are listed under Intermodal Lanes.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rita.dot.gov\/bts\/sites\/rita.dot.gov.bts\/files\/publications\/national_transportation_atlas_database\/2013\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2013 National Transportation Atlas Database<\/a>, CTR is located on the KCS Pittsburg Subdivision.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/midamericafreight.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/access-kcs-intermodalcenter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4872\" title=\"access-kcs-intermodalcenter\" src=\"http:\/\/midamericafreight.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/access-kcs-intermodalcenter.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"699\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Intermodal Connectors<\/h2>\n<p>According to the FHWA there are no intermodal connectors in the vicinity of the KCS intermodal terminal.
